Genshin Impact’s hypostatic symphony detailed at the start of the event

The company behind the free-to-play title Genshin impact has released details on what players can expect if they complete the challenges of the new Hypostatic Symphony event. In particular, miHoYo described the encounter with the boss Violet Lightning Concerto, which is a daily challenge that players can face in solo and co-op.

This creature is comparable to the Electro Hypostasis, except that it possesses an Amethyst Prism that inflicts continuous Electro damage to nearby characters in response to electrical damage. To mitigate its effects, players will need to deactivate it via elemental reactions, in which case the Amethyst Prism will stop doing damage until it is subjected to further Electro damage.

So far, we know that players will need to reach an Adventure Rank of 20 before they can participate in the challenges. We also know that the rewards will include a celebration – a Hypostasis business card and some Primogems, although the exact quantity of these is not yet known. More details on the event are expected to be released on January 17, 2021.

Genshin impact is available for free on PC, PlayStation 4 and mobile devices. There is also a Nintendo Switch version in the works. A new story quest was recently added to the game on January 12, 2021 alongside a new banner featuring the characters Ganyu, Liyue, Xiangling, and Xingqui.
