George Galloway hosted a weekly show on TalkRADIO

TalkRADIO fired George Galloway after sending an alleged anti-Semitic tweet.

The former MP was posted on the social media site after the Champions League final between Liverpool and Tottenham on Saturday night.

He praised the victory of Liverpool before adding: "No # flags of Israel on the Cup!" – seemingly referring to Tottenham's close ties with the Jewish community.

On Monday, the radio announced the end of its weekly broadcast.

Mr. Galloway responds to his former employer by tweeting: "We see each other in court."

The original tweet of Mr. Galloway on Saturday night saw the former Labor Party MP and Respect cope with a negative reaction on Twitter.

He defended the comment, claiming that a number of Tottenham fans waved Israel's flag in the crowd and showed affiliation to a "racist state".

But he was accused of being racist himself, including by the Tottenham football club himself, who told Sky News that the tweet was a "blatant anti-Semitism".

On Monday morning, talkRADIO announced the cancellation of Mr. Galloway's broadcast, adding, "As a fair and balanced information provider, talkRADIO does not tolerate anti-Semitic opinions".

The chairman of the Council of British Jews' deputies, Marie van der Zyl, thanked Tottenham for "calling" Mr. Galloway and TalkRADIO for "having removed this poisoned and divisive figure".

She added: "Her attempt to make hate a wonderful opportunity for English football has attracted the derision she deserves."

Back on Twitter, Galloway said the station gave him a "red card" for "celebrating too much" Liverpool's success.

Mr. Galloway has been running the "Mother of All Talk Shows" show since 2016 and has twice broken the rules of Ofcom – one after discussing accusations of anti-Semitism within the Labor Party and another after a Salisbury poisoning program.

Aged 64, he became famous in the 1980s as a member of the Labor Party, representing Glasgow as a deputy.

But in 2003, he was expelled from the party after being convicted of four of the five counts of discredit: he notably incited Arabs to fight against British troops, prompted British troops to defy orders and supported an anti-war candidate to election.

In 2004, he became a member of the Respect Party and continued to protest the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2005, the Bethnal Green and Bow Labor seats.

However, many members of the public remember him for his appearance in Celebrity Big Brother in 2006 and his impression of a cat during the show.

In 2012, he returned to Parliament as a Member of Parliament for Bradford West and has led several campaigns since, including an unsuccessful campaign to become Mayor of London.

But his controversial comments on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Syria and Skripal poisonings in Salisbury have been the main reason for making headlines in recent years.
