Although the original series of "Game of Thrones" is coming to an end, the saga potentially continues with one or more fallout. And according to George R.R. Martin, fans could hope for three.

The author of the "A Song of Ice & Fire" saga, on which the HBO series is based, wrote in an article published Saturday on his blog that three spinoff companies "continue to make good progress".

"The one I'm not supposed to call THE LONG NIGHT will be shooting later this year," he wrote, "and two other series are still in the script stage, but are getting closer and closer."

A series of series preceding Naomi Watts and written by Jane Goldman and Martin received a pilot order in June 2018, but little is known about the other series of swarms being explored by HBO.

Taking place thousands of years before the events of "Game of Thrones", the Prequel series will trace the story of the descent of the world since the golden age of the heroes up to its time the darkest. And one thing is certain: the horrible secrets of Westeros' story to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the legendary Starks – this is not the story we think we know.

In May 2017, it was revealed that HBO would explore the options of the "Game of Thrones" derivative series with four different authors. In April of this year, Bryan Cogman confirmed that his series would not continue.

HBO had no comment.
