ATHENS – Georgia head coach Kirby Smart and his Georgia Bulldogs will open their season in Atlanta in the Chick-Fil-A kickoff game against Oregon.

“Georgia-Clemson was epic, and there was a lot at stake. I think you might have the same feeling next year. I applaud Georgia for playing these games. I would rather play in these games than playing at a management school, ”Kirk Herbstreit said of the game on Tuesday.

That’s how Georgia’s 129th college football season kicks off – against what will likely be a top-tier Oregon team playing at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
