Georgia were the new No. 1 in the Associated Press’s college football poll unanimously on Sunday, taking first place in the regular season for the first time since November 1982.
The Bulldogs (62 votes for first place) earned a spot in the AP’s Top 25, a day after Alabama’s No.1 loss in preseason to Texas A&M. Reigning national champion Crimson Tide slipped four places to fifth after his first loss of the season.
