Georgia football game against Vanderbilt canceled

Georgia football will not play at Vanderbilt on Saturday and the game will be caught on December 19, according to the SEC league office.

It was to be Georgia’s last home game of the season. Georgia does not have a scheduled opponent for the weeks of December 12 and December 19.

Georgia also have a game against Missouri which also needs to be caught. Vanderbilt has a game against Tennessee that also needs to be caught.

According to Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated, Vanderbilt was unable to reach the overall numbers. The Commodores fired head coach Derek Mason last Sunday and Todd Fitch is the interim coach.

The SEC previously announced that it will announce its list of games today for December 12 and 19. If Florida won tomorrow against Tennessee, the Gators would lock up the SEC East.

After Georgia’s victory over South Carolina, Georgia coach Kirby Smart spoke about some of the sacrifices Georgian players have had to make this season.
