Georgia Southern Eagles will play in 2018 at Camellia Bowl

The Georgia Southern are heading to the Camellia Bowl in Montgomery.

Sources at the Sun Belt Conference told WJCL 22 News that the Eagles would play in the December 15 game at Cramton Bowl, a historic venue.

Georgia Southern (9-3) will face a team from the Mid-American Conference.

The fifth annual Camellia Bowl from Raycom Media will be televised at 5:30 pm. ET / 16:30 CT on ESPN.

Last year, Middle Tennessee State University defeated the University of Arkansas 35-30 in front of more than 20,000 spectators.

Georgia Southern will play in their second bowl game since 2015. The Eagles beat Bowling Green in the 2015 Go Daddy Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.
