Georgia: Three people killed and two officers injured

Georgian authorities have stated that the standoff that began when two policemen were shot and wounded ended with a 16-year-old boy and a pregnant woman killed by an armed man who later died.

Henry County police told the media that two officers on Thursday morning were shot and wounded by the shooter, who then barricaded himself at his home in McDonough, near Atlanta. An impasse ensued and lasted until Friday morning.

Police captain Joey Smith said the police had been hospitalized and that he did not believe that they had shot at the man.
