Fox News commentator Geraldo Rivera fought back against President Donald Trump on Sunday after attacking progressive lawmakers and asking them to "return" to their "corrupt" country and "infested with crimes and crimes."

Rivera responded Sunday night and said it was "sad" to see Trump borrow the "low road" in his attacks against the new lawmakers.
"Sad to see my friend @realDonaldTrump take the wrong road regarding @AOC Bronx, Detroit's @RashidaTlaib @AyannaPressley of Boston and @Ilhan of Somalia & Minneapolis," he tweeted.
"Let's stay on topics and avoid xenophobic, even racist comments."
"@POTUS, you're better than that," he added.
Ocasio-Cortez, Pressley and Tlaib were all born in the United States, while Omar claimed to have come to the country as a refugee from his native Somalia. The four women of Congress, along with several other high-ranking Democrats, on Sunday condemned Trump's comments and emphasized the country's strength in diversity.
