The man fishing the basking shark – but the story has a sad end

Anyone can do what he wants in his spare time and leave what he wants. Some like to draw, others play football and others fish big fish. This is also the pbadion of Poco Cedillo. The Texan loves to fish for his life – preferably big and very big fish. He always fishes only from the land – no boats – and is a pbadionate shark hunter. Once he has a shark, the fight really begins for him. Strong animals are anything but easy to control. If the Texan wins the fight against the dreaded sea creatures, he pulls them to the ground, measures his prey, draws a photo with his catch, then releases the animals in freedom.

More than one hour fight against the basking shark

Poco Cedillo made a very special catch. A catch he had dreamed of all his life. So he reports it later on Facebook. In just 75 minutes, the man pulled a hammerhead shark nearly 4.30 meters from the sea. Photos posted on Facebook show Cedillo to Giant Shark.

Full of pride, he reports his giant catches on the Facebook page "South Texas Fishing Association". But then he starts to justify himself. He writes that he does not want to apologize for anything, but wants to present his point of view again.

"We quickly took some pictures, measured the length and removed the hook from the fish," explains the Texan. If we believe in the representation of the fisherman, it only took three to five minutes. Afterwards, the fish should be released. Unfortunately, it did not work.

He and his colleagues tried to release the hammerhead shark into the sea in about 40 minutes. Not succeeded. The giant fish was too weak and died. In order to save at least valuable fish meat, he and his colleagues would then have decided to cut the predator into pieces and donate the meat. When cutting fish, Cedillo found a total of 15 hooks in the shark's body. "It hurts, people who know me know that I release all the sharks that I catch," he wrote on

Facebook adding that he is so concerned about "catching his La life "rejoices, the death of the beast is so sad.

The capture and especially the death of the giant shark triggered violent reactions in social media. All Facebook commentators do not understand the "sport" of Cedillo and blame him for the death of the marine animal.
