Majority for private marine rescuers

According to a poll of Emnid, the vast majority of Germans are on the side of rescuers deprived of distress. According to the survey conducted by the polling institute Bild am Sonntag, 75% of Germans think that private aid organizations are saving refugees in the Mediterranean.

Only 21% do not think so. 38% believe that lifeguards support tugboat activities. But a majority of 56% do not believe it. The Germans are divided on the question of where people should be saved in the Mediterranean.

43 percent spoke in favor of North Africa, 42 percent in favor of allowing people to come to Europe. A majority of Germans want to welcome fewer refugees. Only seven percent want Germany to receive more refugees than before. Thirty percent said that about the current number should be recorded.
