Weather in Germany: Dog days with "heat wave"

According to the German Meteorological Service, the risk of fire remains high – even though there may be occasional showers and thunderstorms early in the week. On Sunday, the DWD published a first review of the previous heating phase. "A look at the statistics shows that the hottest April since the start of the measure just broke the record for May," reads DWD's website. "It was followed by a very hot June, and in the first two-thirds of July, the summer heat continued."
