The freezing frost has Germany under control for the moment

Germany is facing cold nights. It threatens black ice and temperatures of up to ten degrees. It's raining at the end of the week – and it's warming up.

In some areas of the country, the first snow falls, clothes for the cold season are probably long defeated. In the middle of the week it is cold in Germany, in the evening there is frost. But at the end of the week, the deep shoots of the Atlantic bring warmer temperatures. Deep "Halka" has already reached Wednesday partly with western rains. High "Dominik", however, retains the upper hand in the south and east of the country. There may also be some sun in places.

But Tuesday is initially uncomfortable. The sun is rarely seen. "In the south and south-east, there could be more snowfall," said meteorologist Dennis Schneider. The night to Wednesday is free from all rush in many parts of the country – but cold. There is frost throughout the country, temperatures are between minus 1 and minus 5 degrees. It can be particularly cold in Saxony, Thüringen and Bavaria. According to Schneider, at higher altitudes and where it is still snowing, the temperature could reach minus 10 degrees Celsius. Where it is particularly cold, it can also lead to black ice.

Wednesday, the weather is divided into two parts. "While favorable weather dominates in the northeastern half, the sun is barely visible in the west and south," Schneider said. "It may rain here in the afternoon and evening." Where the sun shines, it is colder. While the temperatures in the east are 0 to 3 degrees, in the west it is a bit warmer with 4 to 7 degrees.

Thursday, Hoch "Dominik" is hit by another low still unidentified, but the betting division remains. In the west, maximum temperatures should then reach 6 to 13 degrees. In the east, it remains between 0 and 4 degrees. However, the rain continues to move in the country – in a band from Saarland to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, it may come to rain.

Minimal sunshine on weekends

At the end of the week, the temperature decreases, but the depressions also reach the east and south-east. On Fridays there is so little sun, it can rain all over Germany. In North Rhine-Westphalia, the temperature can go up to 12 degrees Celsius.

This trend continues on weekends. High "Dominik" withdraws completely to Russia. Other low pressure areas follow and leave the winter only for the moment, no luck. It remains rainy, but at 6 to 12 degrees it is relatively hot for this season.
