The secret of mysterious pieces is solved

A strange structure stranded on Rügen a few weeks ago, Germany was puzzled. Now there is an explanation of the origin of the piece.

The water police was lost, as was the environmental department of the Vorpommern-Rügen district. No authority knew what was the weird piece of about a meter in diameter, which had discovered a beach stroller on complaint. On Facebook, the police called the population for clues.

Also, the readers of t-online.de were puzzled about the origin and the state of the bump. A "nest of wasps dinosaurs" was probably not speculated very seriously, someone else typed on "space junk".

Now the mystery is finally solved, as reported by the NDR. The hump belongs to a buoy used by a laying ship as part of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project. This said a spokesman for Nord Stream 2 of the NDR 1 Radio MV transmitter.

The company wants to bear the costs of elimination

The buoy was originally used to mark position anchors. In October, however, the material was solved, including styrofoam and bullets found in Rügen. Since other components have already been removed by the company, the cost of collecting and disposing of the non-hazardous substance is Nord Stream 2, according to the NDR.

Nord Stream 2 is a submarine gas pipeline under construction for gas crossing the Baltic Sea, which will be transported from Russia to Germany in this way. The operating company mainly belongs to the Russian energy group Gazprom, in which the Russian state holds the majority.
