AVM continues to publish new versions in the so-called FRITZ! Laboratory for the next major update. For now, this is the DECT feature of FRITZ! Fons. FRITZ! Box 7590 has already received an update on 14.11, the 7490 is now moving. The changelog is relatively short, but can expand considerably by the end of the year / beginning of 2019.
FRITZ! Box 7490 is still a perennial and continues to be sold in bulk. On Black Friday and Cyber Monday, there might have been some good deals, where one or the other certainly hit. Version 07.08-63705 also brings improvements in terms of stability.
