Bastian Schweinsteiger immediately reached the playoffs in the MLS

Schweinsteiger has been playing since March 2017 for Chicago. In his first season in the MLS professional league, the former midfielder of Germany champion Bayern Munich had immediately reached the playoffs. In contrast, Schweinsteiger and the Illinois State Club have missed the final in the past year.

After that, it was initially unclear whether Schweinsteiger, who is by far the first player in his club with the equivalent of 4.93 million euros, will stay in Chicago.
