The American actor Sylvester Stallone announces the end of the film character Rocky Balboa after more than 40 years of experience in the film.
"It was my biggest privilege"
In a recent US press release posted on Instagram, 73-year-old Stallone thanked all fans Wednesday for their "more than 40-year-old Rocky family membership".
"It was my greatest privilege to create and represent this great figure," he wrote. Even if it breaks his heart: "Unfortunately, everything must pbad … and end."
Nevertheless, Rocky "will never die, because he will live in you".
The Rocky series consists of eight films, the first of which was released in 1976 and immediately became a surprise hit and even won three Oscars. Stallone had written the script himself.
