Audi unveiled its now third Stromer model in Los Angeles: the Audi E-Tron Gran Turismo (GT) – a coupe – to provide its architecture for a "performance similar to that of a sports car" and pbad by the end of 2020 in series.

After the late-2018 SUV E-Tron, and the next Audi E-Tron Sportback in 2019, Audi unveiled its third electric car model at the Los Angeles auto show. The GT four-door model is the sports spearhead of Audi's electronic wallet. It is based on a flat-bottom architecture that allows a low center of gravity and sports proportions. "Under the hood", the Sportstromer has 434 kilowatts of power (590 hp) and a permanent Quattro mode.

That the sporting qualities of the GT do not show only the clbadic proportions of a Gran Turismo: For an electric car 4.96 meters long, 1.96 meters wide and 1.38 meters high, in about 3, 5 seconds, from zero to 100 kilometers Accelerate to 200 km / h in about 12 seconds per hour. The maximum speed of the Stromer with its 22 inch wheels is limited to 240 km / h for a better autonomy. With a flat lithium-ion battery of 90 kilowatt-hours, which occupies the entire underbody between the front axle and the rear axle, it is possible to reach up to 400 km from the WLTP. Due to the combination of different recovery systems, depending on the manufacturer, 30% of the range must be generated.

To quickly recharge the battery, Audi uses an 800-volt technology, also used in the model Taycan E of the sister Audi, Porsche. On a 350-kilowatt (HPC) charging station, the E-Tron GT's battery can be 80% charged in less than 20 minutes. These charging stations are still rare, but this could change until the market. Needless to say that the Stromer can also be loaded with less force on other charging stations – even an inductive load supports the vehicle: thanks to the Audi wireless charge, the car can be charged wirelessly via a charging plate. load of a capacity of 11 kilowatts "comfortably all night".
