Rail pbadengers can breathe a sigh of relief: Deutsche Bahn and the ECG union have agreed on collective bargaining. There is a diploma, confirmed both sides in Berlin. More warning strikes have been avoided

Deutsche Bahn and the Union of Railway and Transport Workers (ECG) have agreed to a collective bargaining agreement after more than two months of negotiations. This was announced by both parties, without first disclosing details of the amount of the financial statements.

The director of human resources, Martin Seiler, intends to present the result for Deutsche Bahn at 10 am. The ECG negotiator, Regina Rusch-Ziemba, wants to evaluate the result at 11 o'clock. The railway had presented last Wednesday, a new offer that has been negotiated since. The agreement has prevented other strikes from the ECB, such as Monday, which have affected millions of commuters and long-haul travelers.

The agreement with GDL is still pending

However, there is still an agreement between the railway company and the GDL, the smallest locomotive drivers union. Like the GDL, the TOE originally required a 7.5% higher salary. In addition, employee representatives wanted to impose improvements on employees, including vacation and work hours, as well as company pension plans. The railway aims for comparable comparisons for both unions. The two unions are bargaining together for about 160,000 employees.

The GDL had again said Friday that the negotiations had failed. The boss of the union, Claus Weselsky, justified this by saying that the railway would not sign a negotiated contract.
