A woman arrested after an argument about ketchup in McDonald's

Los Angeles – Because she did not have enough ketchup to her liking in a McDonald's, a woman in California went bankrupt – and found herself behind bars. The 24-year-old has been arrested for allegedly cheating and choking a staff member of the fast-food chain, a police spokesman said Wednesday.

The incident on the surveillance cameras had caused a sensation. The woman had ordered food at McDonald's in Santa Ana at the end of October. Because she had no or not enough ketchup, she got angry and broke through a back door leading to the staff area.

The 24-year-old hit and smothered the manager of the restaurant, who had asked her to leave the premises. The fight did not end until a roar companion intervened and both left McDonald's. After clues of the population, the 24-year-old was finally arrested last Tuesday.

"We see it more and more often," said police spokesman Anthony Bertagna. For example, a man recently tried to buy treats from a store – and literally dismantled it when his credit card was not working. (APA / AFP)
