Around 18:45, a 28-year-old driver from Bielefeld saw a child and hit his five-year-old son, throwing him in the air. The child remained lying in the street. The driver, however, has made no move to take care of the injured child. Without stopping or asking for help, he continued his journey.
A witness, who pbaded the scene of the accident afterwards, noticed the boy lying in the street. Shortly after, Bielefeld, 33, discovered a damaged car at the front of the vehicle in a supermarket car park. At that moment, the driver had just returned from shopping under the arm of his parked car, as the police had told him. The witness took the 28 year old man to the scene of the accident and called the police.
Although the man initially denied being involved in the accident, the police continued to investigate the driver's license and the car. According to a police spokesman, the 28-year-old man must now respond for evasion and negligent aggression. The child came to a children's hospital. According to the police report, there is no danger to life.
