Boris Palmer, mayor of Tübingen, argues with a student – and the two tell different stories. A woman is currently investigating a complaint against the head of the city.
Tübingen – After a dispute between the mayor of Tübingen, Boris Palmer (Greens), and a student, lawyer Jurgen Fleckenstein, sees the mayor (we reported). The 32-year-old student's companion told DPA Tuesday that Palmer was very aggressive and that the situation was absurd. "We wanted to hang him, he's right to stay with us." She is now planning to post Palmer. "Palmer put his phone in front of my face and took pictures."
Kretschmann: "I'm not his father"
Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) does not want to evaluate the latest escapades of his party friend. "I'm not the guardian of the mayors of Baden-Wuerttemberg," Kretschmann told reporters in Stuttgart on Tuesday. The leaders of the city are responsible for their actions. "I'm not his father." If there were any complaints about Palmer, it would be up to the local authority. Transport Minister Winfried Hermann (Greens) has also not commented on this case: "I am responsible for the traffic, not a good interaction".
