Amazon makes its machine learning tutorials available to AWS customers. The free videos are designed to teach users how to use machine learning software and AI with examples. The company claims to offer 45 hours of material in 30 different lessons. These are also used internally to train their own developers.

As a result, courses are aligned with the cloud platform and Amazon Web Services tools. These include products such as Sagemaker, Rekognition, Comprehend, Transcribe and Translate, all of which provide predefined APIs and libraries. Amazon Rekognition is already used commercially in automated video surveillance.
Courses for different professions
The course divides Amazon into four different professions: developers, computer scientists, platform engineers and professionals. The learning examples are borrowed from real-world application scenarios that AWS developers have already implemented – for example, intelligent route planning or the evaluation of upcoming prize nominations for movies based on the Imdb movie database.
The courses are suitable for beginner and advanced learners and start with the basic concepts and mechanisms of machine learning. The prerequisite is that users connect with their AWS account. In addition, the courses are currently mainly in English. A competitor who also offers free machine learning courses is Google. On Youtube, interested parties can learn more about the topic based on the Tensorflow framework and learn step by step a Hello World application, decision trees and other components.
