The DFL does not have a president from the month of August!

The 36 German professional clubs have agreed to their extraordinary general badembly in Neu-Isenburg on a structural reform of the German Football League. The most important point here: the function of Honorary President, who still occupies Reinhard Rauball (72 years), is abolished.

Rauball: "The position of president is no longer planned. In the future, the chairman of the board of directors will automatically coordinate the work of the office."

This means Rauball Christian Seifert (50), who will serve as the body's spokesman for the future. The reform – and therefore the farewell to Rauball – will come into effect with the General Assembly on August 21st.

In September, Rauball, president of Borussia Dortmund, announced that he would not stand again after twelve years as president of the DFB. The reform was discussed and implemented on his initiative.
