Due to good questions-answers-rounds. At the regional conference of the CDU in Böblingen, we can see that the closer the party congress of the CDU gets, the more nervous the candidates are.

It just does not work for Jens Spahn. Only the sinking of the candidate Friedrich Merz emerges, which takes him the subjects and the encouragements. Then he is in all the polling stations for the chairmanship of the defeated CDU party. And now, as the second series of regional conferences begins in Böblingen, the moderator of the CDU does not even have her name: she greets Thomas Spahn.
Help only: eyes to and through. Because the three-way battle between Merz, Spahn and Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer continues. All those who had thought after the opening round that it was a question-and-answer round always good, now must recognize: the closer the election is, the more the party congress gets closer, the sooner the candidates will be nervous.
All Baden-Württemberg is a country of Merz?
The dispute over the asylum law, the dispute over the AfD, the dispute over the upper middle clbad: such a hard debate had been planned within the CDU. The largest regional badociations of North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg are currently under discussion.
Most of the 1001 delegates present at the party congress elect the new boss of the CDU. It is therefore important to score points. The country is supposed to be Merz Land.
At least, this could give the impression that all of Baden-Württemberg is a country of Merz. Bundestag member Christian von Stetten from Künzelsau announced that Merz's name was hardly public, as "constituency badociations" were electrified by Merz. What he wants to say everything or what exactly, remained obscure.
Honey of the middle clbad
Von Stetten is in any case the chairman of the Mittelstand parliamentary group, to which more than half of the members of the Bundestag belong. Merz, who arrived as a message – and should probably happen too – is the darling of the middle clbad.
From the CDU Baden-Wuerttemberg come the reports that Bundestag President Wolfgang Schäuble should have gone to Merz.
Meanwhile, at least as likely: Merz approached Schäuble and pushed it only one – and did not call Schäuble. In Böblinger's reality, however, everything really looks like a home game for Merz. The applause for him is the longest, the strongest, and perhaps the most honest.
Merz stands firmly against the SPD, Merz stands firmly against the Greens and Merz stands firmly against the CDU, which has evolved in recent years. He can easily score points here, at least as Kramp-Karrenbauer with the preservation of creation and Spahn with intergenerational justice. On the social level, Merz is weaker. The subject arouses a lot of interest. But Merz is quick on home ownership and tax cuts. He does not answer a question about women.
Even a Spahn fan can be found
Whatever the case may be: in the discussion, the other candidates bring ideas. Spahn offers a property tax exemption for first owners. Kramp-Karrenbauer wants the 5G mobile radio standard "every tin can" – and so contradicts the Federal Minister of Education, also CDU.
In the random survey for: Of course, there are Merz enthusiasts. Many, but not all. There is Sigmaringen's wife, who leaves a preference for Kramp-Karrenbauer. An old man, who is quite sure that Kramp-Karrenbauer is the right one. And even a Spahn fan can be found.
However, the most important thing about all the questions of winners and losers is: no matter who convinced in Böblingen, no matter who convinced Wednesday in Düsseldorf, no matter who in polling surveys of opinion convinced. There are 1001 delegates of the CDU to convince on 7 December in Hamburg.
