The American pay-TV channel HBO is about to finish its series "Game of Thrones", a special series bringing together many actors whose characters have long crossed the Jordan. But there is a huge catch!
In 2018, the American pay-TV channel HBO airs the eighth and final season of the fantastic movie Game of Thrones, a fantastic mega in which seven seasons have been so numerous that many people have taken the spoon to populate a small town. , So it's a nice end to see a lot of the beloved actor (and then often disposed of in blood) in the end again. After determining in recent months whether such a meeting was filmed or not, it is now thanks to the search for Entertainment Weekly firmly: yes, it has become!
The special was premiered this year in Belfast and moderated by American cult talk show host Conan O 'Brian. In any case, there will be the main actor of season 1, Sean Bean (Ned Stark). What other stars will appear in the special, however, is not yet clear even if Entertainment Weekly reports that the star of "Aquaman" Jason Momoa (Khal Drago), was also in the Belfast area at the time of filming, which, of course, would plead for his participation in the meeting.
Spectators still have every reason to be angry
All is well, you could at least say. After the final (and probably deadly) series, there is a conciliation meeting with many old acquaintances, which is great. But laminated cake! According to HBO, the special meeting show should not be broadcast on the pay-TV itselfbut only in addition to the Blu-ray box, which will be released next year after the broadcast of the last season and which will then contain the eight seasons.
This is of course such a slap in the eyes of (American) fans, because the series is only broadcast on the exclusive HBO subscription channel, for which the public ends up getting hit each month. And yet, they should now be forced to buy the eight seasons for which they still paid with their HBO subscriptionjust to enjoy the special. Aside from fans who have purchased the previous seven seasons individually on Blu-ray or DVD. Because apparently, the special will only be included as a supplement to the decor and not on the unique Blu-ray box of the eighth season. Blu-ray buyers would also pay twice for seven of the eight seasons.
The special itself is certainly a gesture of sympathy. The exit, however, is a cynical slap against the fans. Money does not only govern our world, but also the Westeros. Let's hope that German rights holders are not so arrogant.
The eighth season of "Game Of Thrones" will air from April 2019.
