The special films produced by Covestro are characterized by good resistance to scratches and UV rays. By targeted adjustment of the surface structure, additive or coating, the films could be equipped with additional functions, for example with a special light-scattering capability as well as with barrier properties . The Dormagen expansion is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2020. Several new coextrusion lines are planned. Last year, a new high quality multilayer flat film production line had already been set up, along with the corresponding infrastructure and the necessary logistical means had been provided in this context.
