Frankfurt / Main –

A black stock market week in the German stock market has ended with further losses. After stabilizing the day before, the DAX lost 0.94% Friday at 11,200.62 points.

The last index was so low in December 2016. During the week, the Dax fell by three percent.

Since the beginning of the month, the Dax has already lost 8.5%. "The stock markets have had a painful month of October," said Commerzbank's strategist Andreas Hürkamp. Investors have increasingly focused on the poor quarterly results of companies. In the Dax, economically sensitive stocks, particularly the chemical stocks Covestro and BASF, were particularly under pressure.

The MDax of medium-sized companies lost 0.79% to 23,478.22 before the weekend. (AP)
