On their journey through Cumbria County to Patterdale, Prince William and Duchess Kate stopped at a farm.

There, they made themselves known by shearing sheep and the art of dry stone walls. Many fun Instagram snapshots prove that the royal couple has been entertaining, especially in the Shear booth.

The photos show Kate and William in rural action. With a hand mower, they remove excess animal wool – this is not an easy task.

"She will not be happy about her haircut," joked William, after examining his finished work. Kate's shearing attempt also proved to be a test of patience, as she did not always hold the animal tightly in trouble.

First the work, then the pleasure

After the duchess and the prince, though not perfect, demonstrated their rural talents, they paused in the kitchen of Deepdale Hall Farm.

After a coffee and a cake, the two members of the royal family debated with families in the area, including Brexit. (EEE)
