Former minister Krause candidate at the jungle camp

Each year, RTL sends the crème de la crème of German celebrity to the Australian bush. For the first time in 2019, a former minister will be one of the candidates of the jungle camp.

In January, it starts again, but for weeks, there is already speculation diligently. Who will participate in the thirteenth season of "I'm a star – Get me out of here!" In 2019! part? As the newspaper "Bild" reports, RTL wants to see former politician Günther Krause in the camp.

The 65-year-old should have signed a preliminary contract for the show of disgust. "There was a demand from the jungle camp to me, but I'm not moving," said the former political leader of the CDU. The Cologne station does not traditionally participate in speculation about possible candidates.

Günther Krause would be the first ex-politician to join the show. He had signed in 1990 as chief negotiator of the GDR, the Treaty of German-German Unity, and was then headed by Helmut Kohl, Federal Minister for Special Tasks and Trafficking. He resigned because he had unjustifiably collected the labor costs for his cleaning lady from the employment office. Later, he worked as an entrepreneur. Six years ago, the 65-year-old man had left an illegally inhabited house in the Mecklenburg Lake District shortly before his deportation.

Doreen replaces Daniela

According to information from "Bild", Krause has yet to undergo a medical examination to travel to the Australian jungle in January. The newspaper has called with Olympic champion Bob Sandra Kiriasis and actress Doreen Dietel new candidates for the jungle camp for the 13th season.

Daniela Büchner should have moved to the camp in 2019. But a week ago, her husband died of cancer completely unexpectedly. As the mother had five times already signed the contract, her RTL was now coming financially. As a result, their participation was postponed to the following year.
