In the process of the violent death of a 16-year-old boy from Barsinghausen in Lower Saxony, the prosecution requested a life sentence for murder.
The defense attorney however believes that the act has not been proven and has pleaded for the acquittal of the 24-year-old defendant, said a spokesman for the court district of Hanover at the end of the trial.
The body of the teenager was discovered in mid-June in front of a primary school in Barsinghausen. According to the autopsy, the girl died from kicks to the neck and mbadive blows with a 1.30 meter long branch.
The alleged perpetrator and the victim would have met shortly before the attack. The German, who had only been released a few months before the crime, denies the act.
Prior to the plea, the criminal court had indicated that a conviction for manslaughter was also contemplated. The verdict must be announced Wednesday, December 5th.
