The Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention awarded a reward for catching Triatomin bugs. The center is working to prevent an outbreak of Chagas disease by detecting early cases.

Triatomine bugs mainly sucked blood from the faces of their victims. Often, they have left their excrement in the wound. The affected areas are especially around the eyes and lips, where the skin is thinner, said the center in his opinion. An adult insect is usually about 2.5 inches long.
The virus is a vector of the disease, which kills thousands of people each year in Central and South America. With increasing globalization, cases of the disease in North America, Europe, Oceania and Japan have been reported in recent years, the announcement said.
"There is currently no vaccine to prevent Chagas disease, which can cure the disease after reaching the late stage," the opinion says.
