Iranian President calls on EU to take concrete steps in nuclear conflict

After a summit in Vienna to save the nuclear deal with Iran, President Hbadan Rohani lacks concrete progress. "Europeans still show their goodwill, but in the end practical decisions and measures are needed," he said at a cabinet meeting. His country could not wait indefinitely for these measures, they should be carried out within a specified period

The Foreign Ministers of the five remaining countries – China, Germany, France, Great Britain and Russia – had confirmed at the meeting of Vienna even after wanting to stick to the United States exit from the case. In addition, they promised Iran after the new US sanctions a number of economic measures, such as functional payments and the export of oil and gas. Friday's final declaration also includes commitments on transport and investment in Iran.

For Rohani and his government, good negotiating results are essential to rebadure the country.

During his state visit to Switzerland and Austria, Rohani had repeatedly emphasized that Iran wanted to stay with the agreement – but only if the country also enjoyed economic benefits. In particular, the export of Iranian oil, the country's main source of revenue, should be protected.

In the 2015 nuclear agreement of Vienna, Iran undertakes to verifiably limit its nuclear program. To this end, economic sanctions against the Islamic Republic should be lifted. The United States, however, wants to force Iran to change its foreign policy and have ended the deal to punish the country.
