Conservative Rising has, so to speak, survived. The adoption strategy that party leadership has used has also contributed to this. Instead of excluding the critics, she tolerated and accepted them for so long that they approached almost alone. Moreover, with this strategy, the CSU avoided a real split and was able to expel extremist people without martyring them.
At the present time, this sovereignty is lacking in relations with the Union of the Middle. By literally demonizing them, CSU tends to value the group more, to attract the attention of the media and certainly sympathy for some supporters who doubt the leadership of the party.
