President attack pharmaceutical companies, verbally attacks Pfizer – and the group turns away. For the moment. Trump is happy.

Following the criticism of US President Donald Trump, pharmaceutical company Pfizer postpones a price increase. The price increase will only take effect if Trump's drug plan is in effect, the company said. If this does not happen at the end of the year, prices will be increased. Trump said with pleasure, "We congratulate Pfizer for this decision and hope that other companies will do the same."

The Republican tabled a plan in May to reduce drug prices. Trump then said that several pharmaceutical manufacturers would announce in two weeks price cuts "voluntary, mbadive". However, there are no concrete steps yet.

Pfizer and other pharmaceutical companies had increased the prices of certain funds as of July 1. This met Trump on criticism. Pfizer has now stated that they will return to their previous prices as soon as technically possible.
