It has long been known that espionage plays an increasingly important role for China. Now, the activities of the Ministry of Security of the State of Beijing have apparently reached the German parliament: Chinese spies have tried after research of the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" to recruit spies in the Bundestag. According to the report, in the summer of 2016, they contacted several times a member of the Union.

Message from Mr. Wang

The sender of the application was therefore a Chinese director by the name of Jason Wang, who was offering at least 30,000 euros as an entrance bonus for "l." badysis". The MEP had exchanged news with Wang, in which he had first turned to foreign policy. Shortly before the trip of a parliamentarian in the People's Republic of the Constitutional Protection informs him of the suspicion that hides behind the interlocutor of China, an agent, reported the newspaper. "Jason Wang" was therefore a code name of the Ministry of State Security. German President of Constitutional Protection Hans-Georg Maaßen warned of the growing infiltration of parliaments, ministries and authorities.

10,000 euros of information from Berlin

In a second case, Chinese spies would have even succeeded: An employee of a deputy for information received a total of 10,000 euros. In addition, this employee had already followed an invitation to China and had been under pressure. According to the report, the Federal Intelligence Service estimates that the Chinese intelligence apparatus has more than one million employees.
