The sale of Neue Halberg Guss (NHG) is over. There are only formalities left. According to BILD information, the price is around 50 million euros. The new owner is the company "One Square Advisors".
The approximately 1300 NHG jobs in Saarland are (for the moment) saved. At a business meeting in the Brebacher Gymnasium, employees were briefed.
The new co-owner, Frank Günther (60, chief executive of One Square Advisors), was greeted with a thunderous applause.
The businessman: "The last time I was so touched when my daughter reached middle age."
Saved! Great emotion also among NHG employees, many tears have flowed.
Patrick Köppler (52) from Kernmacherei: "I have been working here for 30 years and I am very relieved.It was a long fight – sometimes with little hope."
Angi Yavuz, a 54-year-old female worker, "I'm happy, everyone keeps their job, a Christmas present."
What's next for employees? For them, the transfer of business is completely simple. Everyone must sign a form in the coming days. Made.
Nevertheless, there is a change: the name Neue Halberg Guss disappears.
In the future, the factory is called Saarbrücker Guss Werke GmbH and belongs to the company Avir Guss. The new CEO will be Thomas Meichsner (56).
