25 years of sinking in the Rhine – unsuccessful search operation

Cologne A 25-year-old man died Tuesday night in the Rhine at Cologne-Rodenkirchen. Police and firefighters were looking for the man with a large contingent.
Around 18:40, pbadersby informed the police that a young man had fallen into the Rhine. A major research operation on land and water was immediately launched. Police met on the shore a member of the 25-year-old Cologne team, who confirmed the incident.
For about two hours, a search was conducted to find the missing person with the help of several boats, divers, sonar and helicopter.
At 20:45, the search was stopped without result. According to police, the man is still Wednesday morning still missing.
