A car repair shop in the ruse caught fire around 9 pm Tuesday night. The firefighters were in action with two fire trains on Marie-Jahn-Straße, in the immediate vicinity of the Mittelland Cbad. "Three workstations in the shop have been completely destroyed," says fire department spokesman Clemens Hoppe. The fire department had to lay several hundred meters of pipes and use fire trucks to ensure the water supply of the remote site. During the firefighting operation, two gas cylinders needed for welding exploded in the workshop, forcing the emergency services to withdraw briefly. A spread of flames on other buildings could be prevented. Around 10 pm, the flames were stifled, the rescuers had to clean the embers from time to time. The cause of the fire and the amount of the damage are still not known. The police opened the investigation.
