It arrived Saturday just before 7 pm at Tiergarten: While it was celebrating in the street on June 17, hundreds of thousands of people paraded for Christopher Street Day (CSD) and were demonstrating for the Equal, a 33-year-old man together without apparent cause.
Rescuers tried to save him with first aid measures, the police said Sunday morning. Unsuccessful: A doctor was able to determine shortly after 19 hours only the death of the man.
No evidence of indebtedness
What he died is not yet clear. An investigation into a death was opened according to a spokesman for the police. This is so common when a doctor indicates the cause of death as "unexplained". However, there is no indication of third party debt.
The 33-year-old man, who is a Polish citizen and resides in Berlin, was traveling alone according to previous findings. That he participated in the parade of the CSD, that he watched or perhaps other founders – for example, as a jogger – was traveling to the zoo, the police on Sunday morning could not still say it.
The CSD parade was fired on Saturday from Kudamm at the Brandenburg Gate. At 19:30, however, the movement was stopped prematurely – the cause was the approaching storm. A summary of the day can be found online here, our live CSD blog can be read here.
