Synology, Manufacturer of NAS systems, has announced the availability of a new device. The DiskStation DS1819 + is a high-end NAS, with an incredible number of 8 cards by default – up to 18 drives are paired with two DX517s.
Synology also mentions the new Intel processor (new in the sense of: introduced by Intel in the third quarter of 2017) and a sequential increase in playback performance of 57% that justifies switching from legacy devices to new ones.
Of course, the pleasure is not cheap: a little less than 1,000 euros goes to the Synology DS1819 +. As a pure data flaw, such a thing is of course far too expensive, because many of those who want 8bay, certainly something like the range of values will suffice, there is for example the DS1817 on the program. The less powerful then comes an Alpine AL-314 Annapurna Labs with 1.7 GHz used.
