On a popular bicycle route in Tajikistan, foreigners attack a group of foreign tourists. Four of them die. Police have several attackers, but some suspects are still on the run.
Four people were killed and two others wounded in an attack on tourists in Tajikistan. The attackers had "knives and guns," Interior Minister Ramason Hamro Rahimsoda said in the capital Dushanbe. The victims are two American cyclists and one Swiss and one Dutch. The police did not rule out an act of terrorism.
During a special police raid on Sunday, a suspect was arrested and two others resisted and were killed, Rahimsoda said. Three other suspects were still on the run. "We are looking in all directions," he said. "We can not say if it is an act of terrorism."
