Thailand: Rescued cry for the dead rescue diver

It was not until Saturday that young footballers learned that the diver had been killed trying to save the twelve boys in a cave. They would have cried and expressed their condolences in writing on a drawing of the rescuer, announced Sunday the Ministry of Health. Because of mental stress, they did not inform them earlier.

The diver Saman Kunan who was killed was hailed as a hero. He had been working on building an oxygen line for the included football team. When he came back from the cave, he had not enough oxygen and was drowned.

Since 23 June, the boys and their coach have had to persevere in the Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang cave in the north of the country. After a sudden flood, they were saved inside the cave. Nine days later, they were found and fed. Only after 17 days, the last ones were released.

Soon, young footballers should be released from the hospital, probably on Thursday. "They will all be released together," said Piyasakol Sakolsattayatorn, Thai Minister of Health.

The fate of the group has attracted a lot of attention around the world. Special British divers had helped the local authorities in the rescue operation.
