During the kidnapping trial of the son of businessman and billionaire Reinhold Würth of Künzelsau, the Gießen District Court acquitted the accused on Tuesday.

The Giessen District Court did not consider Tuesday that this proved that the man was involved in the act, writes the German News Agency (dpa). The court followed the defense's point of view, which called for the acquittal of the trial.

The prosecutor had however demanded three and a half years of imprisonment for the defendant.

Voice rating in the center

At the center of the process was a notice of vote. However, according to the Gießener Landgericht, this does not belong to the accused.

At trial, the linguists had stated in a comparison of the abductor's and the accused's voice that the two were "almost certainly" one and the same person. However, when obtaining the evidence, the experts had to admit that other people could also be considered.

On September 11, the indictment was read at the beginning of the trial. In mid-October, Carmen Würth, the mother of the kidnapped victim, said. Subsequently, among other things, the evaluation of the vote record of the alleged abductor at the center of the proceedings.

Würth son found chained to a tree

The disabled adult son of billionaire Künzelsauer, Reinhold Würth, was kidnapped in 2015 in the slot of Hesse. He was asked for a ransom of three million euros. After a missed money transfer, he was spared a day later, chained to a tree found in a forest near Würzburg. The defendant denied the act. The prosecution badumes that the hijacker had accomplices.
