The swimmer dies after the bite of a shark

An Australian was bitten by a shark while swimming in the Great Barrier Reef on the east coast of Australia. He died a little later from his injuries at the hospital.

Off the east coast of Australia, a swimmer died of a serious bite injury. The 33-year-old man was airlifted Monday night (local time) with deep wounds to his arms and legs and died a few hours later, as reported by the emergency services.

The Australian sailed from a private boat to Cid Harbor, near the Whitsunday Islands, and was surprised by the shark. Since the beginning of the year, it is the second death of the country following a shark attack.

The Whitsunday Islands are located at the southern end of the world's largest coral reef, the Great Barrier Reef on the east coast of Australia. A 12-year-old girl and a 46-year-old woman had already been attacked by sharks in September. Both tourists survived. In October, a fisherman was bitten on the shoulder by a shark nearby.
