New options for older cell phone contracts from o2 are not often available to existing customers. This time, however, the wireless service provider is making an exception, allowing a mbadive upgrade of legacy contracts that costs just a few dollars.

o2 existing customers receive double the amount of data for 5 euros more
The mobile operator o2 launched the "boost" option a few months ago, which doubles the data volume for only 5 euros per month. With my O2 Free M Plus with 15 GB, that's 5 euros more than 30 GB of high-speed data you could consume every month, before the reduction to 1 Mbit / s is done. However, in the teleconferencing forum, more and more users also benefit from the Boost option when they reach a consumed data volume of 80% of their old o2-Blue-All-in rate. You will receive an SMS stating that the amount of data contained in the contract has been used at 80% and that you can now use the Boost option.

First, there was some ambiguity as to the duration of the rate recovery option for o2 Blue all-in-one rates, as reported by Teltarif. Initially, it was unclear whether the o2 increase option for old rates would only apply for one month – or for 24 months. Looking at the contract data, it turned out that the duration is 24 months. So, once you book the boost option, you are bound to it for 24 months.

Who is worth the o2 boost function?
Of course, it always depends on the amount of data you have in your contract and your actual consumption. If you do not get along with a high volume of 15 GB per month and you can double the data volume for only 5 euros more per month, that is of course an attractive offer. If you only partially expand the data volume, then of course not. The new option can be really useful for old contracts if you actually receive the SMS with the offer. That came, according to statements in the forum, but not to everyone.
