ASMedia has shown that the fast USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 works with a controller harness for the Computex 2019, or 2 GB per second for transfer performance. The controller is almost ready to use, but it will be hard to find by the end of the year.

ASMedia has its own small booth in the USB Implemeters group area and shows it in an additional live demonstration based on the Intel Coffee Lake platform. But the alternative will be at the beginning of a kind of expansion card, because it is already presented at the fair as a blank canvas. Packaged in a small attractive case equipped with an M.2 slot, it would be the clbadic addition of any of the motherboard manufacturers to high end cards. Background of the USB 3.2
To achieve higher performance than the USB 3.1 (USB 3.2 Gen 2), the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 incorporates two data cables. Due to the multi-line operation, the raw data rate of 5 Gbit / s (USB 3.2 Gen 1) is expected to reach 10 Gbit / s, instead of 10 Gbit / s for USB 3.2 Gen 2 it is possible to reach 20 Gbit / s with USB 3.2 Gen 2×2. The prerequisite is a USB C type cable, for 20 Gbit / s, it must be certified "SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps".
Chaos does not eliminate the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 at the end, this task will be covered by the USB 4.0. But the specification for the USB 4.0 is not yet final, given the long certification times of various commercial products are not expected until 2021. As a result, the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 wants have a chance in the market.
