All five drugs tested are recommended according to "Ökotest". "Very good" preparations include manufacturers Mibe, Merck and Hexal.
Products sold as food supplements, however, have particularly poor performance. Ten of the tested products fail completely with "poor" and "insufficient" test scores. Six received a "satisfactory".
The testers found that eight of the products contained an increased or significantly increased dose of vitamin D. For their badessment, they followed the guidelines of the Federal Institute of Risk Assessment.
The daily dose should not exceed 20 micrograms. Four of the preparations already significantly exceeded this value with 24 micrograms. At 42.5 micrograms, however, the products of Doppelherz and Tetesept were overdosed.
