Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said in his speech that the administration of US President Donald Trump had "the lowest moral authority" to criticize human rights. The embargo against his country described Rodríguez as a "flagrant, mbadive and systematic violation of human rights". This includes, among other things, the refusal to supply Cuba with drugs and medical technologies manufactured in the United States.
New sanctions against Venezuela and Cuba
In the meantime, US President Trump's national security adviser John Bolton has announced new sanctions against Cuba and Venezuela.
