Wolfsburg (AP) – As part of the fight against imminent driving bans, Volkswagen now wants to take over the old diesel nationwide with Euro 1 to 4 emission standards for discounts and scrap.

Dudenhöffer did not exclude that a portion of the VW discounts and previous discounts will be billed and that "sales promotion programs" will be reduced. The main Volkswagen Pbadenger Cars brand offers discounts ranging from 1,500 to 8,000 euros depending on the model – to the scrap of a Euro 1 to Euro 4 diesel vehicle. In addition, an "exchange premium" between 500 and 700 € will be paid in the case of a diesel of 4 or 5 € plus the residual value in the 14 cities specified by the federal government. Audi proposes a reduction between 3,000 and 10,000 euros and the VW division of light commercial vehicles up to 8,000 euros.
BMW wants to grant diesel drivers a discount of up to € 6,000 on the purchase of a new car in the 14 regions particularly contaminated with nitrogen oxides, if they replace a diesel engine up to 5 €. Throughout the country, there are still 2000 euros. Foreign manufacturers rely mainly on national programs.
